This Could be a Rough Retool — When we look at the failings this season, I think we have to start at the top end of our salary list. Who here actually lived up to their cap values?
* Of this list, I'd say Creed, Bolton, and McDuffie are the only three that actually performed at their salary, but I would say Bolton didn't live up to the $19m he's owed next year and McDuffie has some rough outings to make me question if he's worth $25m/year to the Chiefs.
* I'll give Smith and Moore a pass. Smith did until the injury and Moore
[McMullen] Here's Thursday's full injury report. 18 Chiefs are listed, including 6 DNPs. Trent McDuffie returned to practice, while Derrick Nnadi was added.

Any chance Tyquan Thornton can Breakout as more than just a deep threat? — Looks like Worthy may be back this week and when Rice comes back he's our #1, but is there any chance Tyquan Thornton can break out as more than just a deep threat? I found this site that breaks down snap counts and routes run for every game and Tyquan has been up there with both Kelce and Hollywood in both weeks, particularly last week. I've always thought of him as just a blazing deep target, but when Worthy and Rice are back, could he serve as a legitimate volume guy too?
Week 2 Run Game Tape Breakdown — The breakdown I did [last week](https://www.reddit.com/r/KansasCityChiefs/comments/1nc408v/quick_breakdown_of_fridays_designed_run_game_from/) got a lot of positive feedback, so I'm tentatively planning to try to do it each week. Hopefully it's a helpful resource. I appreciate feedback from everyone including those who feel I may have diagnosed or analyzed a play incorrectly - I do not claim to be an expert so take my takes with a big grain of salt.

The Chiefs May Need to Reinvent Their Offense (An Off-season Breakdown) — [Hey guys, I do a lot of writing, so if you can appreciate the effort here I'll have a lot more going up throughout the off-season on my substack!](https://guidetoteambuilding.substack.com/publish/posts/detail/157279380?referrer=%2Fpublish%2Fhome)
It might be odd to suggest that a team that has been to three straight Super Bowls, won two, and just went 15-2, weren’t exactly great this year, but the Kansas City Chiefs may need to reinvent their offense.
Initially, they stayed ahead of the NFL

[Schefter] Compensation update: Chiefs are signing TE Noah Gray to a three-year, $18 million extension that includes $10.1 million fully guaranteed at signing.
