Age-Based NFL Teams — I compiled starting lineups for current (not necessarily rostered e.g. Tyreek) NFL players based on their current age
I had to move around a lot of players on defense and the OL because some ages had too many players at one position or too little, so some of the DL/LB may be out of position
I stopped at 32 because I started running out of defensive players
The ages should be right but please let me know if any are wrong

Which defensive players improved or declined the most this year? An analysis of 2025 PFF grades versus an average of 2022-2024 grades — Notes: I used a 200 minimum snap count for each year. As such, any player drafted 2023 or later will not appear, nor will any player that does not have at least 200 snaps in each year from 2022 through 2025.
The goal was to find which veteran players have had surprising jumps or fall offs in performance.

This Could be a Rough Retool — When we look at the failings this season, I think we have to start at the top end of our salary list. Who here actually lived up to their cap values?
* Of this list, I'd say Creed, Bolton, and McDuffie are the only three that actually performed at their salary, but I would say Bolton didn't live up to the $19m he's owed next year and McDuffie has some rough outings to make me question if he's worth $25m/year to the Chiefs.
* I'll give Smith and Moore a pass. Smith did until the injury and Moore

I'm going to go over the various weaknesses in the roster and coaching staff, as well as addressing cap issues and potential moves for next year, including how likely they are given who our decision makers are.

2022, everything was different — I am rewatching the season review from 2022, and it just strikes me how different everything was.
After losing Tyreek and not making the Super Bowl we were supposed to be finished. I remember all of the media (besides Nick) writing us off completely.
So many big differences between then and now. Firstly being, Pat had SO MUCH TIME to throw. His scrambling didn’t seem out of panic, it was necessity. You can feel how comfortable he is with his o-line. When he did leave the pocket people moved

Players with an asterisk left the team after winning that Super Bowl but returned and are currently on their roster.

The 5 Hardest Decisions NFL Teams Face ahead of the Off-Season (OC) — The 2024 season has just come to an end but just as quickly as the 2025 off-season began. Adding to the excitement, the cap ceiling rose beyond projections which gave every team a healthy boost in available space, giving a little more flexibility for cap tight teams. Now, the Patriots were always going to be able to outspend everyone else, but this will help teams over the limit and near the middle be a little more aggressive.
But before we can consider external free agency, the draft, or any
The Chiefs May Need to Reinvent Their Offense (An Off-season Breakdown) — [Hey guys, I do a lot of writing, so if you can appreciate the effort here I'll have a lot more going up throughout the off-season on my substack!](https://guidetoteambuilding.substack.com/publish/posts/detail/157279380?referrer=%2Fpublish%2Fhome)
It might be odd to suggest that a team that has been to three straight Super Bowls, won two, and just went 15-2, weren’t exactly great this year, but the Kansas City Chiefs may need to reinvent their offense.
Initially, they stayed ahead of the NFL

Here are the top 210 Defensive Backs & Linebackers in terms of times they dropped into coverage. Next Gen Stats designates Cornerbacks and Safeties as DBs. This ends up being an average of 6 - 7 per team, or basically the starting coverage unit.
The cut off was about 225 coverage dropbacks. Thus the player

It’s that time of the year again. Players across the NFL have voted for their peers and created a list of the top 100 among those – and so did I. As always, I have to mention the fundamental issue with how the official list is put together, considering each participant only lists their first 20 names, which encourages some biases for teammates. Who is a player who has fewer Individual accolades than one would expect? — My pick is Tee Higgins. Despite having a reputation as an elite receiver, putting up good numbers, and being on a good team, he hasn’t been to a pro bowl, an All Pro team, nothing. It likely has something to do with the amount of great receivers in the league, but it still feels weird. For a player on my team I am a bit surprised a couple of players on the defense like Nick Bolton and (formerly) L’Jarius Sneed.
There are ~4 HOFers Selected Each Draft. How Many Players from the 2021 Draft will be Enshrined? — [2020 Draft 3-year Retrospective from Last Year](https://old.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/12wwo7f/there_are_4_hofers_selected_each_draft_how_many/)
This is a retrospective on the 2021 NFL Draft. We are only 3 years out, but many players have separated themselves from the pack. Since the inception of the NFL Draft in 1936, there have been an average of 4.3 Hall of Famers selected every year.
We are now 3 full seasons away from the 2021 draft, which is long enough to start to get a picture of these
