What if every NFL team had their own version of "The Jersey" — I'm sure everyone has seen the infamous Browns jersey. The one that has the nameplate of every quarterback to start a game for the team since 1999. As of the 2026 offseason, there have been 42 unique QBs to start a game for the Cleveland Browns since they drafted Tim Couch 1st overall. They have had both terrible luck and discernment when it comes to drafting and signing quarterbacks, but there are other franchises that you could also point to and say the same thing about. So, I wanted to take a

I’m just going to get two things out of the way up front. First, this season was rough. Without question the worst one I’ve seen in my 20+ years as a fan of this team. Second, I firmly believe that 90% of the issues with this franchise stem from decisions made by ownership.

Winning a Super Bowl is hard. But defending a Super Bowl is harder. There are many reasons for this - winning teams face more difficult schedules, they typically end up losing a lot of talent to free agency, and furthermore, the luck that often goes the way of a winning team (be it injuries, turnovers,

Yards Per Route Run — Does it matter? (Predictive Draft Modeling) — I wrote an article providing some insights on the predictive models I created for NFL skill-position prospects and did a deep dive on yards per route run (YPRR), specifically how YPRR against zone coverage correlates with NFL success. Thought you guys might find it interesting.

Predicted the 2026 QB Carousel (OC) — The most important position in football. One of my favorite parts of each off-season is trying to fit the pieces available at quarterback with the teams in need. There are always teams in need.
That said, situations rarely align perfectly. Between talent, contracts, scheme fits, and timelines, it usually takes compromise to make an awkward fit stick. That’s certainly where we land this year, with only one touted QB prospect available in this draft. While the Las Vegas Raiders and Fernando Mend

Analysts and fans projected the roster as Super Bowl favorites, predicated on a mostly-returning roster, the continued maturation of Lamar Jackson, and a defense that concluded 2024 as a solid unit. Predictions favored a dominant AFC North trajectory and the conference's primary seed.
Reality proved different. Early-season attrition via injury compromised depth. The offense lacked red-zone efficiency and consistency. Defens

So, gather round for a eulogy for the Grier/McDaniel/Tua iteration of the Miami Dolphins.

Age-Based NFL Teams — I compiled starting lineups for current (not necessarily rostered e.g. Tyreek) NFL players based on their current age
I had to move around a lot of players on defense and the OL because some ages had too many players at one position or too little, so some of the DL/LB may be out of position
I stopped at 32 because I started running out of defensive players
The ages should be right but please let me know if any are wrong

Offseason Trade Target: Keeanu Benton — PIT Steelers DI Benton is entering his final rookie contract year. As of now, Benton has very good pass rush win rate and good run stop rate 💪
He does these while playing 44 snaps per game, which is quite close to Chris Jones' snaps
Steelers are rebuilding so I guess a late 2nd round pick can do the trade for Benton, who is just 25 years old and entering his prime era

53-Man Roster Predictions — Note: this list only contains players who are currently on the roster. The final 53 will probably include a couple of waiver wire pickups but there's no way for me to know who those will be.
I'm also including the reserve lists since at least two of those players can be eligible for the 53.
Edit: It looks like there were some last second reports about the roster as soon as I was about to post this, so I made sure to add those in.

[Chiefs] First official 2025 depth chart
Brett Veach's blunder: drafted GK & FAU over Seahawks' Mafe & D.Hall — In 2022 & 2023 Draft, teams over-drafted edge rushers in the first round: 5 first round ED in 22 class & 7 (!!) first round ED in 23 class.
Veach got impatient to spend B2B late first round picks on Karlaftis & FAU, while Seattle spent B2B early second round picks on Mafe & D.Hall.
2~3 years later, Seahawks edge duos have outperformed Chiefs edge duos……FAU isn’t even in the chart since he is just an ED4/5, only playing < 20 defensive snaps per game.
Veach’s DL evaluation is poor……
The root of our OT issues is a perfect storm of underinvestment, coaching, scouting, and bad luck. — Andy Heck was hired in 2013 when Reid took over. Here are all the OTs we’ve drafted since then:
