[Ozzy] At 4PM tomorrow, all teams must be salary cap compliant for the start of the 2026 NFL League Year: RB Aaron Jones, DT Jonathan Allen, DT Javon Hargrave, and EDGE Bradley Chubb are all expected to become free agents tomorrow. Titans CB L'Jarius Sneed is also a release candidate.
Just what we Sneed? Definitely a possibility. — Spagnola has a proven ability to develop elite DBs within his system. So why not address a couple of key gaps by bringing in one of the players who already knows it inside and out. L'Jarius Sneed must be monitored by our coaching staff, as one of Spag's former protégés ready to thrive again once he officially parts ways with his current team.
[Highlight] Two years ago, Titans legend L'Jarius Sneed forced a fumble on Zay Flowers at the last second to prevent a TD. Chiefs win 17-10.
Blast from the past: A laundry list of failures by Brett Veach and our FO regarding the current state of our offense — Here's an old post about some of the draft misses that have gotten us in this hole. Add in the desire to force Kingsley into the starting rotation instead of taking another draft loss. We've had abysmal early-round drafting for a while.
Here's the other side of this, the players that have been good draft picks, like L'Jarius Sneed, couldn't be retained due to cap restraints. And multiple free agent signings that have worked, like Honeybadger and Justin Reid, had to be moved on from. We've reta

[ACC Digital Network] Cal's Nohl Williams Starts The 2nd Half With A Pick-6 — Was very excited to see that our new CB got not just an interception but his 1st career Pick-6 vs #1 Overall Cam Ward. This proves that he can still produce against elite competition and not just your average ACC QB.
This also sets up an exciting rematch since Chiefs play the Titans in 2025. We'll also be playing against L'Jarius Sneed if he's healthy.
What does 1/3 of the salary cap get you? — This post is inspired by the Bengals' recent signings of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to contracts that, along with Joe Burrow's, will place roughly one third of the team's salary cap into these three players. I thought it might be interesting to see what other teams are getting for the top 33% or so of their cap.
All cap % figures were taken from Spotrac with data current as of 3/21/25. I have attempted to get as close to 34% of total cap for each team, and in cases where I could not I stop

Which Team Gets the #1 Overall Pick, and Do They Trade Down? — One more of these threads because this race has all of the sudden become very interesting.
With their win yesterday, Giants went from uncontested #1 to 4th in a 3-13 tie with the Patriots, Titans, and Browns. What's especially interesting is Patriots and Titans are playing the Bills and Texans, respectively, who both have nothing to play for Week 18. It seems likely that the Bills will rest starters, and while Demeco Ryans has said the Texans are not resting starters, they already lost to the T
[Schefter] Titans officially placed CB L'Jarius Sneed, who has missed the last five games with a quad injury, on injured reserve.
[Joel Moran] L’Jarius Sneed has been awful for the Titans. He was consistently getting burnt and abandoning his coverage responsibilities against the Colts. It’s been like this all season long
L'Jarius Sneed hour interview.
Compiled notes from training camp - 08/13 — Only three days of training camp remain this year. Today was another full pads practice, and I expect at least tomorrow will be as well.
- Joe Thuney, Derrick Nnadi, and Wanya Morris were all in full pads at practice this morning. Thuney is expected by KC to start in the season opener, but the Chiefs will closely monitor his progress in the coming weeks to decide if they feel hes ready to return to action. His long term health isn't worth risking at the beginning of the season if hes not 100%.
Compiled notes from training camp - 07/22 — - Xavier Worthy was out today with an illness. He'll likely be day-to-day until he feels well enough to practice again this week.
- Justin Reid's quad injury is reportedly more serious than originally believed. Probably initially believed to have been pulled and found to be a tear. He'll likely miss all of training camp and possibly the start of the season.
- Rashee Rice got some decent work in today. Some great plays including a crosser for an impressive 40+ yard touchdown. He was also stripp
Chiefs Hall of Honor-Revisited — Seeing the Chiefs YouTube post some hall of honor videos and it being the dead of the off-season has convinced me to make another post about who could be making it into the hall of honor, this time after back-to-back Super Bowls and the establishment of a dynasty. Just like my post two years ago, I only included achievements earned with the Chiefs and only included players/executives from 2000 and onward. I was born in 1997 so I don’t really know many Chiefs icons before that.
It’s split into L

[Kownack] Titans CB L'Jarius Sneed excited to grow with Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins: I've 'never had two elite' WRs like them
What additions, if any, would you make to the defense? — With Danna re-signing, we've gotten clarity on all of the bigger free-agents that the Chiefs had on the defense. The only departures have been Willie Gay, Mike Edwards, and L'Jarius Sneed, with Sneed being the standout loss.
Right now, if you assumed 25 roster spots for the defense, it would look something like this:
D-Line: Jones, Karlaftis, Omenihu, Danna, Anudike-Uzomah, Thompson, Wharton, Nnadi, Pennel, Dickerson
CB: McDuffie, Watson, Williams, Jones, Johnson, Boye-Doe
Safety: Reid, Cook
[Korte] What I would explicitly say is that it's always better to trade a player for a guaranteed pick now than to have to play the compensatory pick game later. This is what the Eagles and Chiefs did w/Haason Reddick and L'Jarius Sneed, for examples.
I took a tour of arrowhead on Friday and look what was still there when I went
How will the Chiefs use their added cap space after trading L'Jarius Sneed?
[Ian Rapoport]: New #Titans CB L'Jarius Sneed has agreed to terms on a massive new contract now that his deal to Tennessee is done, getting a 4-year, $76.4M deal, sources say. It includes $55M guaranteed and a $20M signing bonus. One of the highest-paid CBs.

Fixing the Franchise Tag: A Proposal — It's a slow offseason Sunday so I felt like sharing an idea I've been kicking around for the Franchise Tag to do more of what it is stated to do instead of just being a power tool for owners/GMs to keep player costs down. Yes, I know this won't likely ever happen, but what else are you reading right now?
**What is the Franchise Tag supposed to do**
The FT was meant to be a tool to give teams more time to negotiate a long term deal with a player they view as a franchise cornerstone. This is wh
Spending L'Jarius Sneed's Cap Money — The Chiefs traded L'Jarius Sneed late last night for a 2025 3rd round pick and a pick swap of 7th rounders this year. That move clears up $19.8m in cap space. It's later in the free agency period than I would have liked to see this trade happen, but Veach was absolute nails last year with his bargain bin free agent signings (Mike Edwards, Drue Tranquill, even Charles Omenihu was fairly cheap). There are still quality players out there who we can now afford to bring in. In light of that, who are
The last piece of the best CB name group is now gone :( — At one point a few years ago, the Chiefs CB group was named
- L'Jarius (Sneed)
- Charvarius (Ward)
- Thakarius (Bo Pete Keyes)
- Bashaud (Breeland)
- Rashad (Fenton)
Now all five of those guys are gone. I don't think we'll ever have a group where so many of the names rhyme again.
This was also the same season we had all the D. Williams and D. Wilsons.
NFL Trade Rumors: Chiefs' L'Jarius Sneed Contract Demands Revealed; Doesn't Want Tag [BR]
Titans thought they could fleece us 💀💀
[Carrington Harrison] A couple things I can report/confirm re: L'Jarius Sneed - No team has made a 2nd round offer - Sneed's desire is to become the highest paid CB in the league and that's been the major hold up - The Chiefs are fine with him playing on tag next season - The medicals are concerning
[McAfee] Adam Schefter: "The Colts and the Chiefs haven't had any conversations about L'Jarius Sneed. As of right now that's not happening"

[PrettyRickey] Hearing that Hollywood Brown to the Chiefs should happen after the Chiefs trade L'Jarius Sneed. — Not sure who this guy is, but he has been money over the past couple days.
[Destin Adams] The latest update I've received on the Colts pursuit of L'Jarius Sneed:
The Colts and other teams interested in trading for the talented CB are waiting on the Chiefs to make a decision on if they plan on trading the CB at all. Many teams involved are hopeful that answer will come — This guy is a Colts beat writer.
