Andy Reid on Justin Fields: A legitimate backup who can win games for us
[Underhill] The Saints & Alvin Kamara converted $10.155 million of his salary, but it wasn't the same standard conversion that Justin Reid, Juwan Johnson and Chase Young did.

Blast from the past: A laundry list of failures by Brett Veach and our FO regarding the current state of our offense — Here's an old post about some of the draft misses that have gotten us in this hole. Add in the desire to force Kingsley into the starting rotation instead of taking another draft loss. We've had abysmal early-round drafting for a while.
Here's the other side of this, the players that have been good draft picks, like L'Jarius Sneed, couldn't be retained due to cap restraints. And multiple free agent signings that have worked, like Honeybadger and Justin Reid, had to be moved on from. We've reta

I Blame The Coaching Staff For Our Regression — So I'm not taking accountability away from the players. But watching who we were as a team prior to now, there is a vast difference in even the discipline and grit we have as a team. Not sure what is going on internally and it has many fans questioning it as well in addition to even analysts as well but it seems to be that there needs to be not just a team change but coaching staff change.
The play calling has gone stale, the team has consistently looked out of sync on many of the games (Bills

Official r/NFL Week 1 Power Rankings — Welcome to week 1 of the 2025 [r/NFL](https://www.reddit.com/r/NFL/) Power Rankings. Congratulations to 16 teams, you're making it to the Super Bowl. The other 16 are on an irreparable trajectory. Are week 1 kicker woes enough to derail the 49ers and Falcons? Are the Colts and Daniel Jones solid or are the Dolphins *that* bad? Will the Eagles continue to do enough to stave off the powerhouse Bills & Ravens? Will the Chargers be able to keep pace the whole season? With the Chiefs sputtering, are
Am I the only one around here that feels mostly fine with how we played? — 1) If Butker made his XP, this game is entirely different. No one wants to hate on him for it since he made that beast of a field goal before the half, but it's still true.
2) Our biggest issue on offense isn't receivers, it's LG and dealing with the fact no one canreplace Thuney.
3) Likewise our biggest issue on defense is Safefy and dealing with the fact no one can replace Justin Reid.
4) Most great QBs don't get to have a great RB to pair with them. Our only chance to get one is to draft
[Newell] The Chiefs’ emotions boiled over in last night's season-opening loss. Here’s what they said about it — Skip the click:
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill grimaced as he extended his leg while sitting in the locker room, then briefly put both palms up to the top of his forehead as he shook off the pain.
This was minutes after the Chiefs’ 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers Friday night at Corinthians Arena, and something became immediately evident while next to Tranquill following his team’s season-opening defeat:
He’d just put his body on the line.
In the second half, Tranquill ha

Roster Evaluation — Listen, I don't want to beat the dead horse but there are two serious problems that we've had for years that is finally catching up. Our talent evaluation has been terrible since the 2023 draft, especially on defense. We also are unable to sign any above average - elite players in free agency.
I'll be going through our recent drafts and current roster, feel free to read or not, I just want the discussion to be had.

Leadership in Secondary & O-Line? — After watching The Kingdom on Disney+, it is clear the Chiefs have a plethora of leadership. Chris Jones on the Defensive Line. Patrick & Travis on the offense. But it was also clear that Justin Reid was the vocal leader of the secondary last year.

Guaranteed contracts are not good for fans, and it is not pro-owner or anti-labor to take that position — Edit: If it is not abundantly clear from my arguments, I'm not saying there should be $0 guaranteed money in any contract. This is specifically in regards to mandatory fully guaranteed contracts.
I keep seeing fans specifically say that players should hold out for fully guaranteed contracts in the next CBA. This post is not about taking a position about whether it would be good for the players, but instead looking at what it means for the fans. From my perspective, it basically makes the game

The 5 Hardest Decisions NFL Teams Face ahead of the Off-Season (OC) — The 2024 season has just come to an end but just as quickly as the 2025 off-season began. Adding to the excitement, the cap ceiling rose beyond projections which gave every team a healthy boost in available space, giving a little more flexibility for cap tight teams. Now, the Patriots were always going to be able to outspend everyone else, but this will help teams over the limit and near the middle be a little more aggressive.
But before we can consider external free agency, the draft, or any
