32 Teams/32 Days, Carolina Panthers — Back in August there was a sense of guarded optimism in Pantherland. Head Coach Dave Canales was entering his second year, and General Manager Dan Morgan looked like he once again had a great Free Agency and a draft with strong potential. Quarterback Bryce Young had come alive at the end of 2024, and a lot of fans were hoping he could build on that. No one thought we were ready for the Super Bowl, but a lot of us felt that we were going to be at least a .500 team, which would mark a big impro

Why Filling A Need Should Not Be Prioritized In This Draft — The past handful of years drafting for need has dominated our draft. Luckily in 2025 it actually worked with Josh Simmons. Our most urgent need (Left Tackle) was also the BPA selection as well. Best of both worlds. But far too often in recent years, Veach has gotten into a situation where he's drafted for need instead of drafting for talent.
I understand the desire to draft for need. And if you have a loaded roster, it makes sense to shore up that last area or 2 that is weak. But that's not the

All of these numbers includes the playoffs.
He was tied 29th among all offensive linemen in pressures allowed in the regular season. For reference, LG Kingsley Suamataia was tied 26th.
The speculation is that he’d move to right tackle if KC signs him."
Do we believe this? I don't, because Jason La Canfora hasn't been a reliable source in the past and this move makes no sense with how

Age-Based NFL Teams — I compiled starting lineups for current (not necessarily rostered e.g. Tyreek) NFL players based on their current age
I had to move around a lot of players on defense and the OL because some ages had too many players at one position or too little, so some of the DL/LB may be out of position
I stopped at 32 because I started running out of defensive players
The ages should be right but please let me know if any are wrong

Does anyone else still wonder what happened with Josh Simmons on that absence? — I know it was family matter but it's just strange that he was gone for almost a month. I've just never heard of a professional athlete in any sport missing a month due to family emergencies (I'm sure there are instances). Couple days to a week is usually the max anyone misses when it comes to family issues.
I know I shouldn't pry since it is none of my business. I'm just curious.
Which defensive players improved or declined the most this year? An analysis of 2025 PFF grades versus an average of 2022-2024 grades — Notes: I used a 200 minimum snap count for each year. As such, any player drafted 2023 or later will not appear, nor will any player that does not have at least 200 snaps in each year from 2022 through 2025.
The goal was to find which veteran players have had surprising jumps or fall offs in performance.

Pro Bowl rosters are always a popularity contest, but it has a big effect on players. Selections could mean more money in free agency, more pay based on incentives, etc. Below are both the AFC & NFC Pro Bowl rosters based on PFF grade.
Instead of using "defensive end", "outside linebacker", & "inside linebacker", I am using EDGE (lines up on D-Line) and Linebacker (off-ball). Otherwise, you have an entire team of pass rushers who get in. I'm glad that the All-Pro team has changed this, but the

I'm going to go over the various weaknesses in the roster and coaching staff, as well as addressing cap issues and potential moves for next year, including how likely they are given who our decision makers are.
# Let's start with the offense:
**QB:** ***Patrick Mahomes*** is the best quarterback in the league, full stop.
[McMullen] Here's Wednesday's full injury report for the Chiefs and Texans. CRW, Trey Smith, and Jawaan Taylor DNP; everybody else was a full participant. Josh Simmons officially went to IR. —
Chiefs’ Josh Simmons heading to injured reserve due to wrist injury
[McMullen] Josh Simmons (wrist), Chris Roland-Wallace (back), Jawaan Taylor (tricep), and Trey Smith (ankle) won’t practice for the Chiefs today. Simmons had surgery on his wrist and will be placed on IR. Coach said Smith, Taylor and Roland-Wallace are all making progress.
What is Matt Nagy is trying to do here? — I have a hard time believing that Andy Reid decided, with Mahomes at QB (and Josh Simmons still in the game), against a bottom 10 NFL defense, that the best play they could come up with is to have each receiver run a 5 yard hitch at the EXACT SAME DEPTH and having everyone stare blankly at Mahomes who then proceeds to scramble into a sack because there is **NO SECOND READ**...
Does Nagy think that Mahomes is Trubisky and he's coaching the Bears because that is exactly what this looks like.
Just great protection by Josh Simmons.
[Rapoport] A significant injury for Josh Simmons, who now will likely head to IR.
[Rapoport] #Chiefs LT Josh Simmons, who impressed against the #Cowboys before exiting with an injury, suffered a dislocated and fractured wrist, sources say. He left the stadium in a cast and is out indefinitely. MRI tomorrow, then he’ll seek opinions on treatment options.

Bills: Josh Allen
Patriots: Drake Maye

Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence
Titans: Jeffrey Simmons
Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes
Chargers: Justin Herbert

[McMullen] Isiah Pacheco (knee) won’t practice for the Chiefs today, per Coach Reid. Everybody else, including Josh Simmons, will work.
[Sweeney] Reid confirmed Josh Simmons is indeed back. He said "we'll see" in terms of his return to the lineup — Specifically, he said “we will just see where we’re at when [Moore and Simmons] get back”
Also made no comment on what he did while at the facility last week, or about what shape he’s in, but that he knows he’s been working out.
