Coming into the 2025 season, the Bears were a mess. Having fired their first coach in season ever after an embarrassing loss to the Lions in front of a national audience on Thanksgiving. The Bears were looking to change the conver

An Analysis of Jalens (and variations thereof) in the NFL — As I'm sure most football fans have noticed, over the past few years there's been a dramatic increase in the number of Jalens playing in the NFL. I, like any other reasonable fan, decided to determine A) who has the most Jalens? and B) if the number of Jalens on a team affected their likelihood of winning.
So, to start, I counted all of the Jalens on each team's active roster in the NFL. There are 46 current Jalens including: 20 Jalens, 7 Jaylens, 6 Jaylons, 4 Jaylins, 2 Jalins and 2 Jalyns, a
[Chiefs] George Karlaftis, Isiah Pacheco, Jaylon Moore, and Jerry Tillery are questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Xavier Worthy is doubtful. Trey Smith and Jake Briningstool are out.

CB Trent McDuffie
RB Dameon Pierce
OL CJ Hanson

WR Tyquan Thornton

[Matt Derrick] Bunch of Chiefs OUT for Sunday vs. Titans: — WR Rashee Rice (concussion)
WR Tyquan Thornton (concussion)
RT Jawaan Taylor (elbow)
OT Jaylon Moore (knee)
DT Derrick Nnadi (illness)
LB Leo Chenal (shoulder)
CB Trent McDuffie (knee)
Out but not on the 53: CB Nazeeh Johnson & TE Jake Briningstool.
[McMullen] Leo Chenal (shoulder), Trent McDuffie (knee), Derrick Nnadi (ill), Rashee Rice (concussion protocol), Jaylon Moore (knee), Jawaan Taylor (elbow), and Tyquan Thornton (concussion protocol) didn’t practice for the Chiefs today
This Could be a Rough Retool — When we look at the failings this season, I think we have to start at the top end of our salary list. Who here actually lived up to their cap values?
* Of this list, I'd say Creed, Bolton, and McDuffie are the only three that actually performed at their salary, but I would say Bolton didn't live up to the $19m he's owed next year and McDuffie has some rough outings to make me question if he's worth $25m/year to the Chiefs.
* I'll give Smith and Moore a pass. Smith did until the injury and Moore
[McMullen] Leo Chenal (shoulder), Trent McDuffie (knee), Jaylon Moore (knee), Rashee Rice (concussion protocol), Jawaan Taylor (triceps), and Tyquan Thornton (concussion protocol) won’t practice for the Chiefs today.

I'm going to go over the various weaknesses in the roster and coaching staff, as well as addressing cap issues and potential moves for next year, including how likely they are given who our decision makers are.
# Let's start with the offense:
**QB:** ***Patrick Mahomes*** is the best quarterback in the league, full stop.
How the Chiefs should evaluate the remainder of this season — With the Chiefs all but mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, here’s a few adjustments that can be made for the remainder of the season that I think are critical for evaluating this team going into 2026:
- Esa Pole needs starting reps at RT going forward: if he can prove he’s capable of handling RT at an above average level, it guarantees Jawaan Taylor AND Jaylon Moore will be released saving a ton of cap space. Our starting 5 Oline would be set under contract for the foreseeable future.
[Sweeney] Wanya Morris is warming up at left tackle, Jaylon Moore on the right.
[Sweeney] The #Chiefs have ruled out CB Chris Roland-Wallace for #SNF against the #Texans. Andy Reid said it would be a stretch for RG Trey Smith and OT Jawaan Taylor to play, though Smith is further along than Taylor. Reid said that backup tackles Jaylon Moore and Wanya Morris worked at both spots
Chiefs explain plans for Wanya Morris, Jaylon Moore at tackle vs. Houston Texans
[Sweeney] Chiefs are looking at the following offensive line vs. The Texans: LT Wanya Morris, LG Kingsley Suamataia, C Creed Humphrey, RG Mike Caliendo, RT Jaylon Moore.
[McMullen] Here's the final injury report for KC and Indy. Pacheco was the only limited participant and has been ruled out; everybody else was a full participant. Kingsley and Worthy are officially Questionable for Sunday.
[McMullen] Here's Thursday's full injury report for the Chiefs and Colts. Kingsley, Worthy, and Pacheco were limited; everybody else was a full participant.
[McMullen] Here's Wednesday's full injury report for the Chiefs and Colts. Kingsley and Worthy didn't practice for KC; everybody else was a FP. Charvarius Ward was a FP for Indy.
[Kansas City Chiefs] Jaylon Moore has been added to the injury report with an illness. He is questionable to play.
[McMullen] Final injury report of the week: Simmons and Pop are out, Trey and Jaylon Moore are Questionable. Jones, Palmer, and Johnson are all out for the Bills.
[McMullen] Jaylon Moore (sick), Isiah Pacheco (knee), and Josh Simmons (personal) didn’t practice for the Chiefs today, per Coach Reid.
[Derrick] Chiefs OC Matt Nagy says he hasn’t considered who will start at left tackle when Josh Simmons returns — Thought I’d share this, although pretty sure it means next to nothing and is just being nice. He’s not gonna flat out say Moore will be benched in favor of Simmons, but unless Simmons shows major regression, I doubt it’ll be much compet
[Gold] Jaylon Moore and Mike Caliendo are expected to start on the offensive line Monday night in place of Josh Simmons and Trey Smith

What does 1/3 of the salary cap get you? — This post is inspired by the Bengals' recent signings of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to contracts that, along with Joe Burrow's, will place roughly one third of the team's salary cap into these three players. I thought it might be interesting to see what other teams are getting for the top 33% or so of their cap.
All cap % figures were taken from Spotrac with data current as of 3/21/25. I have attempted to get as close to 34% of total cap for each team, and in cases where I could not I stop

It’s that time of the year again. Players across the NFL have voted for their peers and created a list of the top 100 among those – and so did I. As always, I have to mention the fundamental issue with how the official list is put together, considering each participant only lists their first 20 names, which encourages some biases for teammates. Players at the end of the ranking
