Roster Evaluation — Listen, I don't want to beat the dead horse but there are two serious problems that we've had for years that is finally catching up. Our talent evaluation has been terrible since the 2023 draft, especially on defense. We also are unable to sign any above average - elite players in free agency.
I'll be going through our recent drafts and current roster, feel free to read or not, I just want the discussion to be had.
2023 Draft:
Pick 1 (1,31) FAU - On IR, invisible when healthy. Arguably one of
[Chiefs] Omarr Norman-Lott listed as questionable. Jalen Royals is out. Everyone else good to go for Friday.

53-Man Roster Predictions — Note: this list only contains players who are currently on the roster. The final 53 will probably include a couple of waiver wire pickups but there's no way for me to know who those will be.
I'm also including the reserve lists since at least two of those players can be eligible for the 53.
Edit: It looks like there were some last second reports about the roster as soon as I was about to post this, so I made sure to add those in.

[Derrick] Chiefs players not practicing Sunday: WR Hollywood Brown (ankle) TE Jared Wiley (hamstring) TE Jake Briningstool (hamstring) LB Drue Tranquil (back) CB Kristian Fulton (knee) S Deon Bush (hamstring) WR Skyy Moore (hamstring) is back. Light practice with no pads today.

👀⏰ — If I were Reid/Nagy I would be wanting to lean into more 5 wide, 4 WR centric sets with Rice as the new number 1 go to guy and push downfield more to Worthy, Hollywood, Royals, Thornton (If he makes team) and then either Pacheco or Smith out of the backfield or lined up out wide as well in Empty formations. With so much speed Reid/Nagy should be pushing for as many play calls that have 4 WR sets with 5 man routes spreading out defenses and more Noah Gray/Jared Wiley inclusion on 1st/2nd downs wh

Text from the linked Kelce article about his podium appearance:
On Wednesday, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce met with local reporters for the first time since his decision to return to the league for his 13th season. Kelce’s current contract runs through the 2025 season, which has long been perceived as a logical end point.
However, the 35-year-old held back from confirming the grand finale.
“I got one year on this contrac
Can anyone explain why Briningstool wasn’t drafted? — Dan from Scouting Room Podcast says he was TE 4 on his board…He has huge size and great speed. I assume he can’t pass block? Anyone got more details, because he seems like a stud that could make the 53 man. If Jared Wiley is still recovering doesn’t it make sense to give this kid a shot if he keeps making heads turn in OTAs, training camp, and preseason?
Update? — Do we have any update on Jared Wiley? What happened to him? Is he okay or what is his status currently? I haven’t read or seen any update about him.
I am hoping he can be a big factor this season but given his injury, it’s going to take awhile before he can fully participate. Also, they need to involve him more in offense.

Kelce's last dance? — I know everyone is still celebrating the game yesterday, so am I so don't want this to be a Debbie Downer post.
But, do you think this SB game might be Kelce's last game? Win or lose it's a good way to go out.
I know he is within reach of milestone records and numbers if he returns, but he never really has been about the numbers and guy...besides even without getting those milestones he's already is in GOAT talks for his position.
We still have Noah Gray and Jared Wiley for next year and bot
Round 4 - Pick 31: Jared Wiley, TE, TCU (Kansas City Chiefs)

**Arizona Cardinals:**
* Signed RB Marlon Mack to a 1-year deal
* Cut LS Jack Coco
Not too much news here but things haven’t been great at camp and it is clear they need QB Kyler Murray back and to add some pieces on both the offense and the defense. The Marlon Mack signing though was kind of sneaky and a good value add at the position for a bargain.
Why are rookie QBs struggling this season? — This may seem like a simple answer. There rookies. There not supposed to start off and be amazing.
Yea. Your right.
But I'm not simplistic when it comes to sports so...
Here is - Why are rookie QB's struggling this season?
Mark Sanchez was on the Speak For Yourself show with Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho a couple weeks ago and a conversation about the reasons rookie QB’s are struggling came up. At the time starting rookie QBs were 1-10 on the season. Acho was blaming the expectations o
