8 games into 2025, Dolphins long snapper Joe Cardona has a chance to break the record for most tackles by a long snapper in a single season (data since 2013). — Since 2013 (only available data on LS tackles I could easily access), there are 452 seasons of qualifying LS play (min 10 snaps). The record for most tackles in a season was by then Giants LS Zak DeOssie when he racked up 7 over 82 punt coverage snaps in 2014. With just 26 punt coverage snaps so far, Joe Cardona is on pace to see 6.38 tackles and, with an uptick in Miami punts when the weather turns, could grow even higher.
Cardona currently has 3 tackles on the season. Over the final 9 games,

53-Man Roster Predictions — Note: this list only contains players who are currently on the roster. The final 53 will probably include a couple of waiver wire pickups but there's no way for me to know who those will be.
I'm also including the reserve lists since at least two of those players can be eligible for the 53.
Edit: It looks like there were some last second reports about the roster as soon as I was about to post this, so I made sure to add those in.

[OC] The two teammates to play together the most games were Mason Crosby and Aaron Rodgers. But what about three teammates? Four? Five? — Here is the table of teammates who played in the most games together. Please note that it is not required that the teammates be on the field simultaneosly (i.e., both play on the same side of the ball), just that they both participated in the same game for the same team. For the two-player combos, I also included the active pair that has played the most games together, which happens to be Kelce and Winchester with 158 games. That's good for 167th place all-time.

The record for longest career without ever missing the playoffs is 11 seasons. James Winchester can tie that this year. — Patrick Chung played for 11 seasons and made the playoffs every year of his career. He's the only player to accomplish this feat. Otto Graham made the playoffs all 10 of his seasons and James Winchester has done the same in all 10 of his seasons so far. Active players are marked in bold in the table below.
Of course, other players have made the playoffs more times than Chung's 11, but they also had seasons in which they didn't play in the playoffs. Missing the playoffs (or riding the bench

* Chris Jones
* Derrick Nnadi
* Harrison Butker
* James Winchester
* Jody Fortson
* Mecole Hardman

Could someone please tell me which ones are playing today for the chiefs?
Thanks.

Which players will be credited for the potential three-peat? — Trying to piece together a list of the players that would receive a Super Bowl ring this year that also received rings the past two years. I came up with the list below; are there any I happened to miss or are there any that shouldn't be on there (ex. Clyde may not be eligible for a ring if he didn't play/got traded in the middle of the season):
Patrick Mahomes
Travis Kelce
Isiah Pacheco

Do Mahomes and Kelce share the 5 and 6 year "ironman" record for most games played in a 5/6 year span? — I think I just discovered a new "record" shared by Mahomes and Kelce - most NFL games played in a 5/6 year period. (I'm not counting specialists like James Winchester, because that wouldn't be in the spirit of the "ironman" record.
Mahomes and Kelce each played 95 games between 2019 and 2023, and 113 games between 2018-2023. The only other team to play 95 games from 2019-2023 is the 49ers, and all of their players from the 2019-2023 window missed games due to injury. And no other team even \*pl
Chiefs have agreed to terms on a new contract for long snapper James Winchester, per source.
Salary cap magic - it's possible to re-sign Jones, Sneed, Tranquill, Allegretti, Townsend; extend Bolton; renegotiate MVS to vet min; cut Toney. Still have $6.76M for draft picks, need 5 more players to reach 53.
Who do we resign? Who do we let walk? — I know it’s early cuz we’re in the middle of a playoff run but after watching Sneed all season, he’s one of the top DB’s in the league and a real difference maker. I would hate to see him go. Also Chris Jones, another difference maker, one of the top DT’s in the league that takes a double team almost every down. Willie Gay and Drue Tranquill, would love to keep our linebacker depth. Who do we keep? Who walks?
Chiefs projected cap space - $51.6mil
