Chiefs Season and Offseason Analysis — And just like that, we're scheduling trips to Cancun.

I'm going to go over the various weaknesses in the roster and coaching staff, as well as addressing cap issues and potential moves for next year, including how likely they are given who our decision makers are.
# Let's start with the offense:
**QB:** ***Patrick Mahomes*** is the best quarterback in the league, full stop.
[Chiefs] Omarr Norman-Lott listed as questionable. Jalen Royals is out. Everyone else good to go for Friday.

[Sweeney] Here is your initial 53-man roster — [Source](https://x.com/pgsween/status/1960497134542692621)
[Goldman] Chiefs HC Andy Reid says Jack Cochrane (knee), Omarr Norman-Lott (ankle), and Jalen Royals (knee) won't practice today. Cochrane and ONL are closer than Royals to returning.
53-Man Roster Predictions — Note: this list only contains players who are currently on the roster. The final 53 will probably include a couple of waiver wire pickups but there's no way for me to know who those will be.
I'm also including the reserve lists since at least two of those players can be eligible for the 53.
Edit: It looks like there were some last second reports about the roster as soon as I was about to post this, so I made sure to add those in.
QB's: Patrick Mahomes, Gardner Minshew
RB's: Isiah Pacheco, Ka
[Sweeney] Here are the #Chiefs who will not play against the #Bears in the final preseason game: TE Jake Briningstool (hamstring), LB Jack Cochrane (knee), OL Ethan Driskell (appendix), S Mike Edwards (hamstring), CB Nazeeh Johnson (shoulder), DT Omarr Norman-Lott (ankle) and WR Jaylen Royals (knee)
Any updates in regards to all the injuries? — FAU, Nohl Williams, Jack Cochrane, Nazeeh Johnson, Norman Lott (returned) all were injured last game and I was just curious if everyone is okay for the most part or if anything serious came of it?
I knew it was going to be that type of game when its raining on turf. I hate turf.

Compiled notes from training camp - 08/05 — Back to full pads today. Camp starting to get a bit chippy.
- Nick Bolton remained out of practice with an elbow injury. KC is still optimistic about him playing in the season opener.
- Chris Jones tweaked his shoulder in practice today. Not expected to be anything major, but he might not finish out camp this year.
- Kadarius Toney and Justin Watson were both back at camp today. Watson worked near 100% with the first team, and Toney just worked out a bit before riding the cart back to the loc
Compiled notes from training camp - 08/01 — - Kadarius Toney and Nick Bolton did not practice today due to injury. While both injuries are to areas they've had a history of injuries with, both players are expected to be available soon.
- With Nick Bolton out, Jack Cochrane was in with the first team defense today. He filled in last season for Bolton while he was out with a wrist injury. Not a stud like Bolton for sure, but not a huge liability either. Cochrane filled in for Bolton's role as the MIKE line backer, which in an actual game m

[OC] To commemorate the 77th anniversary of D-Day, a look at the NFL personnel who died in World War II (Part 2 of 2) — As the title says, this is the second and final part of this series. For Part 1, [click here](https://redd.it/npfegt).
Last time, we commemorated Memorial Day by looking at 11 of the 20 personnel who played/worked in the NFL before giving their lives in World War II. For today, being the 77th anniversary of the Normandy landings, let's follow the remaining 9.*

The four NFL games that had no penalties called on either team. — Was on the Pro Football Hall of Fame website and came across this. Thought it was interesting, and it's the offseason now.

No penalties were assessed in these four NFL games. Interesting two of them included the same referee.
Oct. 28, 1934 – Brooklyn Dodgers 21, Pittsburgh Pirates 3 (at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn). Perhaps the wintry-like conditions played a role in why referee Tom Thorp never dropped a flag. The Dodgers cruised through the afternoon and snapped a three-game lo
[OC] Why 16.2% is the magic number for draft-eligible QBs in the common draft era — Two years ago, the first magic number post I ever made was [the 58.5% completion percentage post](https://en.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/65zs0w/oc_why_585_is_the_magic_number_for_qbs_in_the_nfl/?st=jughlhwo&sh=a16cd5a4). In a nutshell, if a QB completed 58.5% of their passes or less in their final season, the odds of them succeeding in the NFL were not good. And for today’s NFL, that number is fine; whether it was a first rounder or a seventh rounder, practically every guy in the last 15 years to
