How the Chiefs should evaluate the remainder of this season — With the Chiefs all but mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, here’s a few adjustments that can be made for the remainder of the season that I think are critical for evaluating this team going into 2026:
- Esa Pole needs starting reps at RT going forward: if he can prove he’s capable of handling RT at an above average level, it guarantees Jawaan Taylor AND Jaylon Moore will be released saving a ton of cap space. Our starting 5 Oline would be set under contract for the foreseeable future.

Roster Evaluation — Listen, I don't want to beat the dead horse but there are two serious problems that we've had for years that is finally catching up. Our talent evaluation has been terrible since the 2023 draft, especially on defense. We also are unable to sign any above average - elite players in free agency.
I'll be going through our recent drafts and current roster, feel free to read or not, I just want the discussion to be had.

53-Man Roster Predictions — Note: this list only contains players who are currently on the roster. The final 53 will probably include a couple of waiver wire pickups but there's no way for me to know who those will be.
I'm also including the reserve lists since at least two of those players can be eligible for the 53.
Edit: It looks like there were some last second reports about the roster as soon as I was about to post this, so I made sure to add those in.

32 Team Mock Draft Results — Hey guys, I took part in a 32 team mock draft over the last few weeks where I was in charge of the Chiefs. I figured today would be a good day to post the results, since we're all just waiting around for the draft to start. I'm going to post the full results of round 1, but after that I will only post my own results for the Chiefs. It didn't go exactly how I planned, but I wouldn't hate it if these were the players we walked away with in real life! Let me know if you have any questions or critic

Hunter Nourzad — I understand this is a difficult question to answer. Not sure we have any insiders here on this subreddit.
Why is Hunter Nourzad not getting any looks at Left Guard now that Thuney has moved to Tackle? We have seen Caliendo get inserted into the starting lineup. And Caliendo is not a starting caliber Guard. Nothing against Caliendo, but he's just not good.
Are we to assume that Nourzad has even less to offer than Caliendo? I'd like to think not.

Compiled notes from the final day of training camp - 08/15 — Final day of camp this year is in the books. As is tradition, it was a short practice session going only slightly longer than an hour. Not a lot of notes from today as a result, but I've included some thoughts on camp's biggest winners and the overall camp itself as well as notes for today.
* Players withheld from the final day of practice are Chris Jones, Jawaan Taylor, Wanya Morris, and Marquise Brown. Taylor, Brown, and Jaylen Watson are not expected to play in this weekend's preseason game
