Age-Based NFL Teams — I compiled starting lineups for current (not necessarily rostered e.g. Tyreek) NFL players based on their current age
I had to move around a lot of players on defense and the OL because some ages had too many players at one position or too little, so some of the DL/LB may be out of position
I stopped at 32 because I started running out of defensive players
The ages should be right but please let me know if any are wrong

[McMullen] The Chiefs’ team awards, as voted on by the players: Derrick Thomas (MVP): Patrick Mahomes, Mack Lee Hill (Rookie of the Year): Ashton Gillotte, Ed Block Courage Award: George Karlaftis
[Chiefs] George Karlaftis, Isiah Pacheco, Jaylon Moore, and Jerry Tillery are questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Xavier Worthy is doubtful. Trey Smith and Jake Briningstool are out.
Which defensive players improved or declined the most this year? An analysis of 2025 PFF grades versus an average of 2022-2024 grades — Notes: I used a 200 minimum snap count for each year. As such, any player drafted 2023 or later will not appear, nor will any player that does not have at least 200 snaps in each year from 2022 through 2025.
The goal was to find which veteran players have had surprising jumps or fall offs in performance.
The largest risers:

George Karlaftis needs to get two sacks vs the Raiders this week for his $250,000 incentive bonus — His contract is for $250,000 bonus @ 8 sacks. He needs 2 sacks.
Karlaftis has only had two multi-sack games in his career, and none this season. The silver lining is the Raiders' weak offensive line has allowed a league-high 61 sacks this year. They may start either QB2 Kenny Pickett or QB3 Aidan O'Connell on Sunday, presenting a prime opportunity for 'Curious George'.

This Could be a Rough Retool — When we look at the failings this season, I think we have to start at the top end of our salary list. Who here actually lived up to their cap values?
* Of this list, I'd say Creed, Bolton, and McDuffie are the only three that actually performed at their salary, but I would say Bolton didn't live up to the $19m he's owed next year and McDuffie has some rough outings to make me question if he's worth $25m/year to the Chiefs.
* I'll give Smith and Moore a pass. Smith did until the injury and Moore

I'm going to go over the various weaknesses in the roster and coaching staff, as well as addressing cap issues and potential moves for next year, including how likely they are given who our decision makers are.
# Let's start with the offense:
**QB:** ***Patrick Mahomes*** is the best quarterback in the league, full stop.
[McMullen] Final injury report of the week is here. CRW and Nikko Remigio are out, Trey and Jawaan are Doubtful. Everybody else was a full participant.
[McMullen] Here's Thursday's injury report for the Chiefs and Texans. No changes for KC: CRW, Trey Smith, and Jawaan Taylor did not participate. Everybody else was a full participant. Anderson Jr., Autrey, Brown, and Marks practiced for the Texans —
[McMullen] Here's Wednesday's full injury report for the Chiefs and Texans. CRW, Trey Smith, and Jawaan Taylor DNP; everybody else was a full participant. Josh Simmons officially went to IR. —
It ends on the shoulders of these guys. — Absolute shit performance by the Chiefs dline. So many key moments they were not able to make a play, and could never get consistent pressure.
No reloaded weapons on offense next year... what little we can add will need to be focused on getting some guys who can actually get some pressure.
What a waste of a great Mahomes performance.

[McMullen] Here’s Tuesday’s injury report for the Chiefs and Cowboys. Noah Gray and Trey Smith didn't practice, Chris Roland-Wallace was a LP, and everybody else was a full participant
[Derrick] Chiefs issue their estimated injury report for Monday since they did not practice. No real surprises. Trey Smith & Noah Gray unlikely to play vs. Dallas. The three to watch Tuesday are WR Rashee Rice, WR Xavier Worthy, and LB Leo Chenal. Encouraging to see Patrick Mahomes as a FP
[McMullen] Here's the final injury report for KC and Indy. Pacheco was the only limited participant and has been ruled out; everybody else was a full participant. Kingsley and Worthy are officially Questionable for Sunday.
[McMullen] Here's Thursday's full injury report for the Chiefs and Colts. Kingsley, Worthy, and Pacheco were limited; everybody else was a full participant.

[Newell] What the Chiefs said about Travis Kelce’s drop and why there’s still hope at 0-2 — [Non-paywall](https://archive.is/PxYzd)
Key sections:
...Kelce was greeted by one teammate, who’d slowed down to make sure he could walk with him.
Defensive end George Karlaftis paced a few steps beside Kelce, patting him on the chest before saying three words to the Chiefs’ star tight end:
“Back to work.”
“That’s my guy,” Karlaftis said in the locker room, referring to Kelce. “That’s what it is, win or loss: Back to work. Obviously the loss stings, and we’re going to learn a lot from it.”
