Do you think JJ Redick deserves blame for not managing the minutes of his stars properly? — It seems like Luka was playing heavy minutes every game, and giving a lot of effort constantly having 40 point games. Then in a meaningless blowout Luka injures his hamstring and the Lakers' season is basically over now. Why was Luka in the game vs the Thunder when they were down by 30 in the 3rd quarter? Redick should've benched all the starters at halftime, let Bronny and Maxi Kleber play the rest. Coaches like Steve Kerr know when a game is over and to bench their stars in the right times.
Cap experts can you explain how much cap space will we have next season? I know that Austin reaves will have a 20m cap hold. So if we don’t re-sign Rui Kleber and keep Kennard at a similar contract will we have around 70m in cap space?
Our Depth Issue- We have 8 bad players not including Kleber who are not getting any play-time at all. Nearly every NBA team let alone contending team has more useable players. — I don’t know why our depth and two ways are mostly made up of small guards or one-way players. We obviously needed length and athleticism and defence but Pelinka chose to stick to redundant players who fill no holes in the rotation. Theres many small pickups that could be had.
Nick smith jr, Chris manon, Jared Vanderbilt, Adou thiero, drew timme, Knecht,Kobe Bufkin, bronny james. Then a maxi kleber who’s injured. Contrast this with thunder who has nearly every position filled with someone compe

Clean injury report for tomorrow's game vs. Houston (except for Maxi Kleber)
Alperen Sengun is OUT for today
Lakers’s injury report vs. Houston tomorrow. Clean outside of Maxi Kleber, who remains out.
Luka has had the best defensive in/off rating in the team since his last tech — \-38.8 diff, that’s just insane. 105.2 defensive rating.
Him running down on defense instead of arguing with the refs makes a massive difference.
He’s actually not a bad defender when he stops giving up easy points in transition.
Early Predictions for which Laker Free Agents will be Re-Signed: AR 200M/5yr, MS 20M/2yr, DA 20 M/2yr, LK 33M/3yr, JH 12M/2yr — Seems like a slow afternoon on the board as we all await the big game, so here are some early predictions for L.A.'s free agent signings this summer:
.
**(1) Austin Reaves -- 5 years, 200M**
.
Starting from a salary of **36.1M** in 2026-2027 and with 8% annual raises ending at 46.4M in 2030-2031.
.
I think this deal will be leaked to the media soon after the playoffs end (before agency actually starts when teams can only negotiate with their own free agents).
.
I predict that the

Updated Net Points for the roster — Here are some takeaways/changes.
1: The team has been about a middle of the pack defense in recent weeks due to the heavy zone usage and that's portrayed here among the starter's values.
2: Luka's playing his best basketball as a whole right now while both AR/LeBron have fallen off a bit for different reasons.
3: Jaxson Hayes has officially supplanted Ayton for having the most productive minutes at the C position on the roster. He's elevated his own play while Ayton has continually fallen off
Injury report for tomorrow vs Knicks: Ayton is AVAILABLE, LeBron & Maxi are QUESTIONABLE
My take on the future of the current roster of this team — This is going to be ordered from staying to gone
**Luka and Reaves:** ***Staying***
This is a nobrainer, they are the core and backcourt for the foreseeable future.
**Luke Kennard:** ***Staying***
He is the perfect 6th man for Luka and Reaves, good passer as a connector, insane gravity as a shooter and good decisionmaker.
His defensive profile is very similiar to both of them, so if we surround them with defenders to help even out their shortcomings, they will also fit well with Kennard

3 GOOD/3 BAD/1 WTF on 3/2/2026 vs. Kangz — Back to back blowout wins against teams they should beat?!? These Lakers?!?! INCONCEIVABLE! After two crushing losses, the Lakers bounced back nicely. Funny how in a parallel universe, the Lakers have gone 5-1 since All Star break and are currently the 3rd seed. Alas, this team lost two games by a combined 5 points and then proceeded to win the next two by a combined 52 points. Don't look now, but we have a +0.5 net rating(!!!). Let's dive into it
