Lakers starting lineup tonight vs. OKC: Luke Kennard, Jake LaRavia, Rui Hachimura, Drew Timme and Deandre Ayton — The Lakeshow is not looking like the usual programming this time. JJ Redick is experimenting with what he has, to try and find an effective rotation, in the face of the league leading Oklahoma City Thunder. I for one am excited to see some Bronny James content tonight.

Our Depth Issue- We have 8 bad players not including Kleber who are not getting any play-time at all. Nearly every NBA team let alone contending team has more useable players. — I don’t know why our depth and two ways are mostly made up of small guards or one-way players. We obviously needed length and athleticism and defence but Pelinka chose to stick to redundant players who fill no holes in the rotation. Theres many small pickups that could be had.
Nick smith jr, Chris manon, Jared Vanderbilt, Adou thiero, drew timme, Knecht,Kobe Bufkin, bronny james. Then a maxi kleber who’s injured. Contrast this with thunder who has nearly every position filled with someone compe

Luka has had the best defensive in/off rating in the team since his last tech — \-38.8 diff, that’s just insane. 105.2 defensive rating.
Him running down on defense instead of arguing with the refs makes a massive difference.
He’s actually not a bad defender when he stops giving up easy points in transition.

Updated Net Points for the roster — Here are some takeaways/changes.
1: The team has been about a middle of the pack defense in recent weeks due to the heavy zone usage and that's portrayed here among the starter's values.
2: Luka's playing his best basketball as a whole right now while both AR/LeBron have fallen off a bit for different reasons.
3: Jaxson Hayes has officially supplanted Ayton for having the most productive minutes at the C position on the roster. He's elevated his own play while Ayton has continually fallen off
My take on the future of the current roster of this team — This is going to be ordered from staying to gone
**Luka and Reaves:** ***Staying***
This is a nobrainer, they are the core and backcourt for the foreseeable future.
**Luke Kennard:** ***Staying***
He is the perfect 6th man for Luka and Reaves, good passer as a connector, insane gravity as a shooter and good decisionmaker.
His defensive profile is very similiar to both of them, so if we surround them with defenders to help even out their shortcomings, they will also fit well with Kennard

Who is the worst player on the Lakers team — Found this nice little stat called net rtg on/off diff on the nba site. It’s basically the team’s net rating when a player is on the floor minus the net rating when they’re off the floor.
It basically shows us, who, when on the floor is actually making the Lakers better or worse:

Defensive box score of Last nights game
Drew Timme > Deandre Ayton? — Yes this might be a hot take and too early to tell but I’m curious of what y’all think and if there’s any truth to it.
Looking at his college games, G League performance and limited opportunities in the NBA, Timme seems like he has a similar good touch around the rim as Ayton but he’s not afraid of contact and backing guys down like an old school center. And when he does, he has a better IQ to create opportunities for others to cut or even get a nice spin roll to the basket. Add in a developin
Shout out Drew Timme — He's looked very good out there. His minutes usually see a lot more movement both with and without the ball. He's been surprisingly capable as a hustle player.
Last night he had multiple instances of not just closing out but multiple closeouts. Teams know they can get us with fly bys pretty easy off one pump fake. Timme was hustling out to send a second defender.
His contributions may not have shown up in the stat sheet, but if he keeps playing like this then he'll stick around the pro team.

Can we talk about jj now?? — I really don't think jj can win a chip with us at the rate this is going. He is predictable and can't adapt for shit. The fact that he left reaves on the floor on a bad scoring night is horrible.I now realise that our bench can't score because reddick isn't playing them in other games to develop them enough. The fact that we know that laravia is decent on offense and defense but doesn't use him fully annoys me in every game.Adou should play more.Nick smith should play more.Drew timme should play.I
