Our Depth Issue- We have 8 bad players not including Kleber who are not getting any play-time at all. Nearly every NBA team let alone contending team has more useable players. — I don’t know why our depth and two ways are mostly made up of small guards or one-way players. We obviously needed length and athleticism and defence but Pelinka chose to stick to redundant players who fill no holes in the rotation. Theres many small pickups that could be had.
Nick smith jr, Chris manon, Jared Vanderbilt, Adou thiero, drew timme, Knecht,Kobe Bufkin, bronny james. Then a maxi kleber who’s injured. Contrast this with thunder who has nearly every position filled with someone compe

Who is the worst player on the Lakers team — Found this nice little stat called net rtg on/off diff on the nba site. It’s basically the team’s net rating when a player is on the floor minus the net rating when they’re off the floor.
It basically shows us, who, when on the floor is actually making the Lakers better or worse:

Marcus Smart leads the regular rotation players at 7.0
Jake LaRavia is the worse among the regular rotation players at -6.9.
Predict the starting lineup — My guess is
Smart
Luke
Jake
Rui
Maxi/Hayes
Why is Chris Manon not getting any run with the main squad — An athletic relentless defender who’s a legit 6’5 & has an insane motor. He’s averaging 2.5 stls & 1 Blk per game in the G league
Imo opinion he should have got a shot way before Timme

What is Roberto Pelinker cooking up? 🤔
I hope Chris Manon gets some minutes — Chris Manon has been really good in the G-League so far, both offensively and defensively, shooting 50% from 3, and averaging over 5 stocks a game. I'm sure the 3-point shooting won't stay at that, but getting more minutes with the actual team would be nice!
The Lakers are in the process of finalizing a two-way contract with Drew Timme. LA won’t be cutting Nick Smith Jr., so they will need to waive either Christian Koloko or Chris Manon to sign Timme.

Chris Manon today for the Southbay Lakers: 31 PTS 7 REBS 3 ASTS 4 STLS 3 BLKS on 9-16 FG 4-7 3PT 5-5 FT
You can’t even click on Nick Smith bio on the app 😂
Reaves almost 50 point triple double also props to hachimura and Dominayton too.

[McMen] Lakers two-way guard Chris Mañon on guarding Austin Reaves in pick-up games over the summer and training camp scrimmages: “It’s been a little bit of hell … but super fun, for sure. I like the challenge”
Lakers Roster Season Preview: Backcourt Bench — Hi everyone, with just a full week until the official start of the season, I'm going to start something I've wanted to do for some time: a preview/prediction/expectations write-up of the roster as it currently stands. We're going to begin with the backcourt bench today. Tomorrow will be the frontcourt bench, and then we'll move our way through the starters, which I'll default to as Luka/AR/LeBron/Rui/Ayton. I know LeBron is currently out, but it seems silly to put him as part of the bench, and I
[Price] JJ Redick says Chris Mañon suffered a Grade 2 ankle sprain and it's "very unlikely" he'll play during the preseason. — Finally an answer to why Mañon hasn’t been playing
it's crazy to look at it this way
Does College PPG Matter? — I went to the nba website to find every nba player and went to college basketball reference to find out the career scoring average of every nba player while they were in college. This doesn’t take into account team strength or strength of opponents. Through my findings, DeAndre Jordan is the lowest ranked all star with 7.9 PPG and thee lowest ranked mvp is Russell Westbrook with 8.3 PPG.
Every NBA Player By College PPG
1. Marjon Beauchamp-30.7 PPG
2. Trae Young-27.4 PPG
3. Kevin Durant-25.8 P

Lakers signs Chris Manon on a two-way contract
Who are our 3 2-way players as it stands right now? — In light of the recent developments regarding Chris Manon & Koloko, does this mean that Trey Jemison is no longer on a 2 way deal, or that Eric Dixon was never signed to one?
I haven’t seen any news regarding Dixon at all other than that he was injured and wouldn’t be playing in summer league. But I thought he was still on a 2 way with LA? I’d give him the 3rd 2 way over Jemison, he looked pedestrian in summer league. Koloko outplayed him big time.
*UPDATE* Jemsion got waived according to mu
[Johnson, NBC Sports] Warriors people loved having Chris Manon this summer. Was just talking with a source that is very high on him but said he has heard Manon's name pop up with other teams after his strong summer. Now, he's on a two-way with the Lakers. Looked like he could have been a hidden gem
[Woike] Word on Chris Manon is he’s a high-level defender and a smart player with a great motor who “plays the right way.” Value as a two-way signing in their developmental program.

Some notes:
If one of a team's decisions is an extension it does not mean that the team must extend that player, only that if they want to, they are able to do so this offseason.
